Not Who I Am

As long as I keep my face to the flame
As long as I heap the lies and the shame
As long as I cheapen my real name
The longer my healing will be
The more I belive that falsehood is true
The more I receive self-inflicted abuse
The more I deceive my own attitude
The moral decay eats at me.

But no, this can't be, this is NOT who I am
I refuse to believe that I am a sham
I am covered and bought by the blood of the The Lamb
I will not lie down with a lie!
"There are plans," says the Lord, "I have set just for you
They include victory, honor, and truth
They make forever and every day new
I will make who you are more like I."
