1. A search that every heart goes through
"If you love me then I'll love you"
Slip up once it can't be true
Rejection is a given
Open your heart and don't be wary
And painful feelings try to bury
Just repeat if necessary
Eventually they'll be forgiven

Looking for someone that will be
Closer than a brother
Who'll love you unconditionally
More than any mother
To gain that level of intimacy
Of a best friend and a lover
We all wonder who it'll be
That one significant other

2. But God desired to make things new
While you hated Him, He still loved you
He showed it by what He chose to do
To us His Son was given
Open your heart, no need to be wary
Your painful past He will bury
Agape love is necessary
For sins to be forgiven

Are you looking for someone that will be
Closer than a brother
Who'll love you unconditionally
More than your own mother
Who desires that level of intimacy
A best friend and a lover
Who gives you life abundantly
There's One Significant Other.
