Night and Day
Copyright 2001 by Jon Gill

Verse 1:
Darkness surrounds me again
Daily it seems to arrive
My eyelids are beginning to bend
Maybe sleep will keep me alive
But out in the dark there's a light
Though it's difficult for me to see
But I know that it's your omni-sight
Of how you know all things to be

Chorus 1:
Numbingly falling
I'm running and calling Your name
The difference between your sight and mine
Is the difference between night and day

Verse 2:
I can't imagine your love
Or appreciate your blood
I'm sure it's wonderful above
But my life is here in the mud
I've never been on solid ground
I suppose it feels pretty clean
Take what I have, make me found
Lead me to the new life unseen

Chorus 2:
Ungracefully fallen
Relentlessly calling Your name
The difference you've made in my life
Is the difference from night into day

Verse 3 / Bridge:
The cycles of night and day
Are the seasons that we need
When we go through night before day
We'll see the fruit of that seed
With God it's never night without day
For in every trial there's a right way
Let the Lord form what he may
For He turns our night into day!

(Chorus 2)
