Hypocrisy
Copyright 1998 by Matt Gill
See Matthew 6:24

Sit on the sharp edge of eternity's fence
Life is difficult with a skull that's so dense
A liar, a hypocrite, you eat from both sides
Pledge love to Big Brother, then drink gin and chives

At night you're a Hyde, a Jekyl by day
If you're stabbed in the back, what more can I say?
To please everyone you'll make all enemies
Despite the skill with which you change the trapeze

Choose one or the other side to stand by
With both sides straddled, to mama you cry
When the two rifts collide, which one will you choose
Go with the winner, or the one who will lose?

Chomp on a bit sweetened by double's honey
You can't serve two masters - either God or money.
