God knows what
I've been up to
God knows what
I'm going through
God knows that
He knows a lot
...You can be sure that
God knows what!

1.
I'm sure you've heard it said
That only Heaven knows
What tomorrow brings
Or what the end will show
And if there's something that cannot
Be known by human thought
I guess it's fitting that we simply
Call it "God-knows-what", 'cuz... (ch.1)

Worry not about tomorrow
Dwell not long on pain or sorrow
Don't fear the future or relive the past
The present comes and goes by fast
Make wise plans and decisions, but
Remember always, God knows what (ch.1)

No eye has ever seen
No ear has ever heard
No tongue was ever able
To utter such a word
We can't wake our wee little minds to wonder
"What is it God hath wrought?"
He's preparing something for His loved ones
(But only God knows what)...

God knows what
He's been up to
God knows what
He's gonna do
The door He opens
No one can shut
...You may not see it, but
God knows what! (2x)
