Especially Today

Every morning I get up
And sipping from my coffee cup
I think about the daily grind
And what’s ahead, and what’s behind
And what today is sure to bring
It could well be anything
So Lord, today, I need your song
To keep my strength, to carry on
To show the world that real men say,
“I need You, Lord, today.”

And may this song remind me of
Your faithfulness, Your endless love
And that I always have enough
To walk the narrow way…
And may I always seek Your face
Depend upon Your strength, Your grace
To follow You at perfect pace –
Especially today.

And as the new day runs its course
My energy comes from its source
Each time that I must make a choice
I hear Your song, I hear Your voice
Showing me just what to do
It guides me for the whole day through
And Lord, today, I have your song
To give me strength to carry on
To show the world that I will say
“I need You, Lord, today.”

Tell me her day consisted of
A million things that caused her stress
And how she just needed some rest
She loves me, but she needs my strength
