Dreams

1.
I have a dream
That I may live in peace
But sometimes it seems
That peace is not my place
And from discipline to self-control
To controlling disciplinarian roles
I promise myself that I will do well
Then wonder why I have to go through hell

(ch.1)
Dream away
Until the day
But when you wake
Realize it's fake. (2x)

2.
We have a dream
We say we all want World Peace
But always it seems
That peace will never be
And from diplomats to sobbing models
To model celebrities with bottles
We promise ourselves the world on a plate
Then wonder why delivery is late

(ch.2)
Dream away
Until the day
Live a lie
Until you die. (2x)

3.
What good is a dream?
False hope cannot bring one peace
But sometimes it seems
Peace isn't what we need
And from shattered hopes to lying eyes
To hope of shattering the lies
We're promised truth will heal the blind
Then wonder why we're not satisfied

(ch.3)
Dream away
Until the day
Look for the dawn
With blinders on. (2x)

4.
There is a dream
We've all been given our piece
And sometimes it seems
It was obviously meant to be
So from fearing to lead and following the lessers
To following our fearless leader
He's promised us all we've asked Him for
I wonder why we didn't see it before

(ch.4)
Dream away
Until the day
Awake the dawn
And journey on.
Dream away
Until the day
Yes, dream anon
And lead me on.
