Crazy Horse Poems 2: #2,3,4,6

First Love
When black doth turn its doleful eyes to pink
And sadness by joy is mightily defeated
My merry eyelids oft do wink
On the beauty that the Lord created
Awakening upon the shining of the sun
I do rise with excitement in my bones
To face the day that promises much fun
For from now on, I shall not be alone!

Trinity Pie
Inside the pie,
The filling knows no lines;
No divisions made in the crust
Matter to the cherries.
But it cut itself
Into three, for
That’s all we can eat
At one time.

Kainotophobia
*
The ice cream feels cold
It wishes it were warm
But its cold is from within
And it fears the sun

Prayers
The dandelion blooms;
Its seeds are prayers,
Each to a different god
But the child
Picks the weed
And blows all the seeds away.
The seeds return to the ground
And none reach the heavens.

* "Kainotophobia" means "fear of change".
